This 75- hour program held at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center and at
satellite sites in Marysville, Kenton and Urbana is approved by the
Ohio Department of Health and prepares individuals to take the
state examination. STNA's function as a nursing as- sistant,
providing basic care related to the hygiene, grooming, mobility and
nutritional needs of patients. Employment opportunities exist in
extended care, acute care facilities, and in home health care
- WorkKeys Assessment with at least a level 3 in applied
mathematics, reading for information and locating information.
- Participants must provide proof of a 2-step tuberculosis skin
test prior to class
- Program components include academics, skills laboratory
practice and clinical
- State examinations are held at the career center following each
scheduled class. Exam dates are to be announced.
